CES 2025 has come to a close, and we’re left with a plethora of exciting laptop reveals from some of the biggest names in the industry. As we dive into the latest offerings, here are all the laptops that caught our attention.
Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro
Samsung unveiled an updated line of Galaxy Book laptops at CES, which included the Galaxy Book5 Pro. This machine is available in 14-inch and 16-inch screen options, paired with Intel’s newest Arrow Lake Core Ultra processors. With a focus on AI capabilities, Samsung has touted numerous on-device AI features like its own version of Google’s Circle to Search. These laptops also include advanced photo upscaling and more. While there isn’t any pricing information available just yet, the company has promised availability in February.
ASUS Vivobook 14 and 16
In a surprising move, ASUS has released refreshed versions of their mid-range Vivobook 14 and 16 laptops. These computers run on Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors, promising up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The company claims that the updated internals have led to a 44% boost in performance compared to last year’s models, along with a battery life increase to nearly 20 hours per charge. What’s more interesting is the inclusion of ASUS’ ‘AI camera,’ which uses AI to detect whether you’re sitting in front of the screen or not. The Vivobook 14 will start at $700, while the 16-inch model will begin at $750. Both are available for pre-order now.
Lenovo Legion Pro 7i
The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i is a significant upgrade over its predecessors and could be an excellent option for gaming on-the-go. The laptop supports up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, with an enhanced cooling system that enables a 250W thermal design power. It also supports Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processors and up to 64GB of RAM. The device features a 16-inch OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. However, at six pounds it’s not the lightest option on the market. A starting price of $2,400 is expected in March.
Alienware Area 51
The Alienware Area 51 laptops have returned after years away, bringing their flagship gaming devices back to the table. The Area 51 lineup is available in both 16- and 18-inch display options and supports Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPUs, up to 64GB of RAM (at speeds up to 7200 MT/s), a staggering 12TB of PCIe Gen 5 SSD storage and NVIDIA RTX 5090 GPUs. Both models can handle up to 175 watts of total graphics power with the additional reserve of 105 watts for the CPU. A glass bottom has also been added to aid in thermal regulation. There is no information available on prices yet, but we do know they’ll be entering the market with high-end configurations starting at $3,200. More affordable ‘entry-level’ models should follow later this year.
ASUS ROG Flow Z13
In an unexpected move, ASUS has released a 2-in-1 hybrid gaming tablet in the shape of their ROG Flow Z13. This device is compatible up to a Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU with unified memory and boasts a 70Whr battery capable of lasting up to 10 hours per charge on a single battery cycle. The IPS display features a remarkable 180Hz refresh rate and up to 500 nits of brightness. This machine can integrate seamlessly with the company’s new XG Mobile graphics dock for an instant visual upgrade. While prices are expected to start at $2,000 for the Ryzen AI Max 390 chip or $2,200 for the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU, we haven’t received a release date yet.
With these laptops, CES 2025 has certainly set the bar high for future releases.
