Today’s NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Monday, January 13
I thought today’s NYT Mini crossword was a relatively easy puzzle to solve. Short of making a tiny mistake with the name “Sonia” instead of “Sonia” (with an “i”), I found it pretty straightforward.
The clue that caught my attention today is the one that references Raygun or Moo Deng, in 2024 – MEME. It’s interesting that they chose these memes for all of 2024. I personally didn’t follow up on who Moo Deng actually was but she’s that baby hippo that always looks like she’s screaming at everything. I hope she’s doing well now and has found peace.
The crossword also included a clue that asks you to “Avoid, as one’s taxes – EVADE.” It seems quite simple to understand, just evade paying your taxes.
I found another interesting clue that had me scratching my head initially: “Sotomayor of the Supreme Court” which was answered with SONIA. Well, I must admit it took me a little time to get this one correct.
Moving on, there were a few more clues that stood out. One of them asked you to do “Comical routines in a school talent show – SKITS.” It’s quite common to have skits or comedy sketches during these shows.
