Melania Trump has announced that she will “continue” and “expand” her “Be Best” initiative when she returns to the White House as First Lady in January.
Speaking exclusively to Fox News, Mrs. Trump expressed her excitement for the opportunity to build upon the work of her first term, citing the challenges she faced during Donald Trump’s first presidency.
“I didn’t have much support from anyone,” Melania said, referencing the lack of cooperation she received from streaming platforms and other stakeholders during the initial rollout of “Be Best”. “I invited all of the streaming platforms to the White House. I had the roundtable, and I didn’t have much support from them. And imagine what we could do in those years if they will rally behind me and teach the children and protect them about social media and their mental health.”
In anticipation of her second term as First Lady, Melania has also announced a new behind-the-scenes Amazon Prime documentary detailing her life during Donald Trump’s first presidency. The film is set to debut later this year.
The First Lady expressed her confidence in stepping into the role for the second time, having gained valuable experience during her husband’s initial tenure.
“I know where I’m going. I know the rooms where we’ve been living. I know the process,” she said. “I didn’t have much information. The information was upheld from [the] previous administration. But this time I have everything.”
Melania emphasized the importance of preparation, stating that her second term will be a more streamlined and efficient operation.
“Everything needs to be planned to the minute,” she explained, referencing the short amount of time she has to settle into the White House after the Biden-Biden transition last year.
The Trump family has faced numerous challenges since leaving office, including prosecutions, assassination attempts, and another run on the campaign trail.
