Eliza Labs Unveils Plans for Web3-Based AI Agents
In a breakthrough development, Eliza Labs has released a white paper outlining its plans to create AI agents capable of interacting with smart contracts and the blockchain. The ai16z creator has named its first AI agent “Eliza,” which it claims will make deploying web3 applications effortless.
According to the white paper, users will have full control over the agent, further enhancing the interaction between AI and blockchain technology. Eliza Labs believes that AI developments have yet to reach the web3 space due to a lack of an ideal agentic framework, thus hindering the potential benefits of decentralized AI.
The company is now looking to bridge this gap by integrating AI agents with web3 technologies. This integration can significantly enhance interactions with decentralized applications and networks. To achieve this goal, Eliza Labs will be offering familiar tools and frameworks to web3 developers. The white paper also revealed that the AI agent will have a “pluggable modular design,” enabling users to add their own plugins, clients, or characters.
Some of the supported plugins include NFT generation, crypto trading, payment processing, multi-chain support, and web browsing. Eliza Labs emphasized that its web3 AI agents should allow users to create new wallets, transfer or receive tokens, engage with social media platforms, and support “basic trading APIs.”
