Gary Gensler is expected to take a final action against Ripple before leaving his position as the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), according to reports.
As previously reported, SEC Chairman Gary Gensler has been pushing for stricter regulations in the cryptocurrency market. It seems that he will continue this stance even before stepping down from his role.
It’s worth noting that Acting SEC Chief Alison Atkins was urged by a former SEC official to end all non-fraud cases against the cryptocurrency industry.
