Reusable Rocket Startup Stoke Raises Another Massive Round: $260M
Stoke Space, a Y Combinator alum, has just secured a substantial $260 million in series C funding, bringing its total raised to a staggering $480 million. This follows previous rounds of $100 million and $75 million, both of which were announced in 2023 and 2021, respectively.
The company was founded in 2019 by Blue Origin veterans Andy Lapsa and Tom Feldman, who also launched his career as a SpaceX intern. Stoke Space has set an ambitious goal for itself – to build the world’s first fully reusable rocket, which means both the booster and second stage.
Last month, the startup shared a significant milestone with the public, showcasing a successful test of its first-stage rocket engine. The newly acquired funds will be used to construct new facilities at Florida’s historic Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The list of investors participating in this latest round includes Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Glade Brook Capital Partners, Industrious Ventures, Point72 Ventures, Seven Seven Six, Y Combinator, and several other undisclosed firms.
