Apple rolls out Priority Notifications as Apple Intelligence expands to EU
Apple has announced the rollout of Priority Notifications as part of its Apple Intelligence suite. This update marks a significant expansion for the AI-powered tools and features, which are now available in the European Union.
In addition to this new feature, Apple Intelligence is also expanding its availability to iPhone and iPad users in the EU, as well as on the Apple Vision Pro headset in the United States (in English). Furthermore, the company has announced that its AI features will be available in several new languages, including French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified). Localized English has also been added for Singapore and India.
Priority Notifications is likely to be a welcome addition for many users. Instead of having to sift through non-essential updates and marketing messages from apps, Priority Notifications will allow important notifications to appear at the top of the notification stack. This feature may significantly improve the user experience by prioritizing critical alerts and reducing clutter.
Other enhancements coming with this update include the ability to create a “memory movie” on Mac by typing a description, an added Sketch style in Apple’s AI image generation app, Image Playground, for the creation of academic and detailed sketches.
