Bleach Enthusiast, Antisemitic Conspiracist Among Stars of Anti-Vaxxer Event to Be Held at Trump Hotel
A peculiar event is set to take place at the Trump National Doral Miami hotel in Florida. ReAwaken America, a gathering aimed at anti-vaccine advocates and conspiracy theorists, will be held there on November 3-4. The event will feature an eclectic lineup of speakers, including a bleach enthusiast and an antisemitic conspiracist.
Mike Lindell, the founder of MyPillow and a prominent figure in the Trump administration’s response to COVID-19, is one of the main organizers of the event. Other notable speakers include Charlie Ward, who has claimed that 15 million people were killed by the Covid-19 vaccine (despite having no evidence to back up this claim).
Ward’s antisemitic views have not seemed to deter the Trump Organization from partnering with him for the event. According to Ward, it was Trump Doral that approached them to host their ReAwaken America tour stop.
This is not the first time that the Trump organization has been linked to anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theory events. In 2022, a similar gathering took place at the Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey.
The event’s eclectic lineup also includes Jim Bakker, who claims that bleach can cure COVID-19, and others who promote baseless vaccine-related conspiracy theories.
ReAwaken America aims to “unite patriots” and “stop the globalists,” according to its website. It is unclear what the Trump Organization hopes to gain from partnering with this event, but it appears that their relationship with Ward has not been damaged by his antisemitic comments.
Wired will continue to monitor this situation for any further developments.
