Grayscale files for XRP ETF with NYSE as institutional demand rises
January 30, 2025 | Regulation
In a recent move that highlights the growing interest in cryptocurrency-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs), Grayscale has submitted an application to convert its existing Ripple XRP Trust into a tradable fund listed on the New York Stock Exchange’s (NYSE) Arca platform. This development comes as institutional demand for digital assets continues to surge.
According to the filing, Grayscale’s XRP Trust currently manages approximately $16.1 million in assets and operates under Delaware statutory trust regulations. The proposed ETF would offer investors a regulated means of accessing XRP without requiring direct ownership or self-custody of the digital asset.
