NYT ‘Connections’ Today: Hints and Answers for Friday, January 31
The game is over, but the streak continues. Despite initial doubts, today’s puzzle turned out to be a relatively straightforward affair, with many words referencing noses in some way. The connections were not overly obscure or challenging.
In fact, it was only after wasting two lives on unnecessary guesses that I finally broke free from my worries and refocused. This change of mindset allowed me to identify the nose-related group and re-evaluate the remaining words. From there, it was clear sailing.
The correct answers include: CASE, CHEST, CRATE, TRUNK (Green group), BEAK, HONKER, SNOOT, SNOUT (Blue group), CONNOISSEUR, CRITIC, EXPERT, SNOB (Purple group).
I must admit that I did find one of the connections particularly interesting. The purple group, which refers to starts of swimming strokes, is a clever and unexpected twist.
On a different note, it seems that my game face is back in action, and for that, I am grateful. This week’s dance/house music theme has been enjoyable so far, and I’m excited to continue exploring this genre.
Until next time, stay hydrated, call someone you love, and keep an eye on my blog for more Connections hints and answers.
