In a remarkable and secretive operation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) took control of a major cryptocurrency money laundering service for nearly a year, posing as ElonmuskWHM, a prominent player in the industry. The operation, which spanned over 11 months, was designed to prevent further financial fraud and corruption.
ElonmuskWHM, whose real identity is identified as Jayanta Murarka, had been operating an underground crypto money laundering service since at least September 2023. The company’s services were geared towards facilitating illegal transactions for drug traffickers, hackers, and other criminals.
