Semler Scientific Purchases 871 Bitcoins; Achieves Impressive BTC Yield
In a significant development, Semler Scientific has announced its decision to purchase 871 bitcoins for $88.5 million using funds from its January 2025 senior convertible notes offering and the sale of part of its stake in Monarch Medical Technologies, LLC.
As per the press release, the average price of these bitcoin purchases was $101,616 per bitcoin, inclusive of fees and expenses. This move takes Semler Scientific’s total holdings to 3,192 bitcoins as of February 3, 2025.
Notably, this acquisition has resulted in an impressive BTC yield for the company. As reported by the press release, Semler Scientific achieved a BTC yield of 21.9% from January 1 to February 3, 2025. Additionally, they have also seen a remarkable gain of 152.2% from July 1, 2024, through February 3, 2025.
