Title: You Can’t Ever Count Out Drake: Ye Believes the Rapper Could Make a Comeback from Kendrick Lamar Feud
Chart-topping rapper Ye has expressed his admiration for Drake, stating that he believes the rapper could make a comeback from their past feud. In an interview with Billboard, Ye, known as Kanye West, emphasized that you can’t ever count out an artist like Drake.
“You can’t ever count out Steph Curry,” Ye explained when asked about Drake’s potential return to the top of the music charts. “You gotta respect the fact that he took that time off and came back stronger than ever. He’s one of those artists who I think we should all be grateful for, because he didn’t just disappear – he came back with a vengeance.”
This statement comes after Drake announced his hiatus from music in 2020. While many had written him off as done, Ye believes that the Canadian rapper could once again reach new heights.
“You can’t ever count out someone like Drake,” Ye emphasized. “He’s an incredible artist and businessman. I think people should be careful not to underestimate him. He might come back with something that completely changes the game.”
When asked about his own feud with Kendrick Lamar, Ye seemed reflective, stating that he believes both himself and Lamar are geniuses in their own right.
“I love Kendrick, he’s my brother,” Ye said. “I think we’re both two of the most talented people to ever touch a mic. I think our beef was just two genius-level rappers going head-to-head – it’s not something that can be easily resolved.”
Ye concluded by saying that he hopes to collaborate with Drake and Lamar in the future, stating that his ultimate goal is to “bring the culture back to what it once was.”
