A New OnePlus Phone Is Set To Launch On April 24
OnePlus has officially announced the release date for its next product, the OnePlus 13T, set to join the OnePlus 13 series on April 24. The news comes as a surprise, as there had been no confirmation of any new phone in the works until now.
According to OnePlus China head Louis Jie, the company’s upcoming smartphone will be available in three color options: Morning Mist Gray, Cloud Ink Black, and Pink. In addition to these color options, the OnePlus 13T is expected to feature a refreshed camera module design that mimics the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
The new phone is rumored to house two 50MP cameras and will likely come with an OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The OnePlus 13T’s screen size is also rumored to be 6.32 inches, which would be in line with the company’s previous models.
The phone’s design reportedly features a one-piece metal frame with rounded corners and a matte finish on the back, similar to recent Apple and Google phones. While there were rumors that OnePlus might compromise on optics for their budget-friendly option, it seems that will not be the case this time around.
The OnePlus 13T is also expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, placing it between the OnePlus 13R and OnePlus 13 in terms of specifications. Additionally, there are reports suggesting a massive 6,200mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, although no word has been given on wireless charging capabilities.
In an unexpected move, OnePlus is also borrowing a feature from Oppo’s Find X8 Ultra: the customizable button that replaces its signature Alert Slider. Users will be able to customize the new button based on their preferences.
While the April 24 launch date is confirmed for China, no official word has been given as of yet regarding global availability or launch dates.
