Robert F. Kennedy Jr. praised the “courageous and visionary leadership” of Indiana Gov. Mike Braun, as he lauded the state’s recent initiatives aimed at tackling the nation’s growing obesity crisis.
The Health and Human Services Secretary expressed admiration for Braun’s efforts to reform the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in his state. Kennedy emphasized the need for similar measures across the country, urging governors to sign executive orders that prioritize healthy lifestyle choices and nutrition education.
In his statement, Kennedy highlighted Indiana’s bold approach to addressing the nation’s growing health crisis, stating: “By prioritizing prevention, proper nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices, we can set our younger generations up for a lifetime of success.”
Notably, Kennedy recently appeared alongside West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey, who has also taken steps to address his state’s high obesity rates.
