Here’s Destiny 2’s Sundered Doctrine Dungeon Loot Table For Awful Farming
In a shocking turn of events, Bungie has released the loot table for the newly launched Heresy dungeon, Sundered Doctrine. Unfortunately, this news comes with a hefty side of disappointment and frustration, as farming this dungeon is set to be an absolute nightmare.
The full loot table, courtesy of BlueberriesGG, reveals that the drop rates are still woefully inadequate. Players will have to trudge through each encounter, completing them in their entirety for a paltry 1/6 chance at getting the weapon they’re after. The rest? Armor. Lots and lots of armor. Good luck getting what you actually want.
But I digress. Here’s the loot table:
First Encounter (Solve the Riddle)
* Weapons: Unloved Hand Cannon, Unworthy Scout Rifle, Unsworn Trace Rifle
* Armor: Helmet, Arms, Legs
Second Encounter (Zoetic, Lockset)
* Weapons: Unworthy Scout Rifle, Unvoiced Shotgun, Unsworn Trace Rifle
* Armor: Helmet, Arms, Legs
Third Encounter – Kerrev, the Erased
* Weapons: Finality’s Anger Exotic Linear Fusion Rifle, Unloved Hand Cannon, Unworthy Scout Rifle, Unvoiced Shotgun, Unsworn Trace Rifle
* Armor: Head, Chest, Arms, Legs
And then there’s the class item. I’ll spare you the details, but let’s just say it might not be available… yet.
What does this all mean? Well, for starters, if you’re looking to get your hands on those trace rifles or scout rifles, Unsworn and Unworthy will be dropping from every encounter, which is a small silver lining. But good luck getting anything else. The hand cannon and shotgun are only available in two out of three encounters, with the final encounter being one of them.
In other words, dungeon farming remains the literal worst in the game. Completing an entire encounter for a 1/6 chance at what you want is just cruel. And don’t even get me started on the armor – half the pool is useless, and good luck getting anything decent with the perks you actually need. The total odds are insane.
Bungie has made some great strides in other areas of loot drops (I’m looking at you, Nether drops and Adept seasonal system), but dungeon farming remains a hot mess. Why they insist on making this process so awful is beyond me. Nothing comes close to the sheer awfulness of this type of farm in Destiny 2.
On a more positive note, Sundered Doctrine itself is actually quite creative and engaging, taking steps closer towards mini-raids than traditional dungeons (although you can still solo them). So there’s that.
For those eager to dive back into the dungeon despite its farming woes, I won’t blame you. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you…
