Star Wars Goes Back to Strategy Games With The Trailer for Zero Company
After a long hiatus from the strategic gameplay of their past games, Lucasfilm and Respawn Entertainment have officially announced Star Wars: Zero Company, a new single-player strategy game set during the Clone Wars. The trailer revealed at Star Wars Celebration today offers a first look at this upcoming title.
In Star Wars: Zero Company, players will take on the role of a team known as Zero Company, a group formed during the Clone Wars to carry out covert missions. The team consists of a trusty mech, a Jedi Knight, an Umbaran sharpshooter, a Clone Trooper, and a Mandalorian.
The gameplay is heavily inspired by recent XCOM titles from Firaxis Games, with players controlling squad members and utilizing their unique abilities in turn-based combat on grid-based battlefields. The game’s story follows the team as they embark on various missions across the galaxy.
Star Wars: Zero Company will be available for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S in 2026.
