LONDON – In a bold move ahead of their scheduled court appearance for member Mo Chara, Northern Irish hip-hop trio Kneecap has launched a massive billboard takeover across the city.
The provocative stunt comes as a response to the group’s upcoming ‘witch-hunt’ court appearance, where Mo Chara is set to face charges related to alleged terrorism offenses. The trio claims that these charges are nothing more than a “carnival of distraction” designed to shift attention away from more pressing issues.
According to sources close to the band, the billboards feature the phrase “More Blacks, More Dogs, More Irish, Mo Chara,” referencing the infamous “No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs” slogan, which gained traction in the 20th century as a means of discriminating against specific groups.
