Today’s ‘Wordle’ #1471 Hints, Clues And Answer For Sunday, June 29th
Ah, another lazy Sunday and boy do I need it after yesterday’s Wordle! As a senior contributor to Forbes, I’m excited to share today’s hints, clues, and answer for Sunday, June 29th.
How to solve today’s Wordle:
The Hint: Clever.
The Clue: This Wordle has a double letter.
Okay, spoilers ahead! The answer is coming!
Today, I checked Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.
TREAD left me with 146 words and just one yellow box, so that could have been better. HOIST (which the Wordle Bot told me afterwards was exactly the word it would have picked) slashed that number down to 7, but I still had only two yellow boxes. I thought MINTY sounded nice, so I went with that. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a great guess, leaving me with four options to choose from. Luckily, I guessed WITTY and fortunate for me, that was the Wordle!
Competitive Wordle Score:

The Bot and I tied today, scoring 0 points each. That leaves our June totals at: Erik: 20 points Wordle Bot: 10 points
At this point, the Wordle Bot cannot win. If I fail to guess the Wordle (-3 points) and it guesses on its first try (+3 points), our totals would be 17 to 13. Well, I am still the king of the Wordle!
How To Play Competitive Wordle:
Guessing in 1 is worth 3 points; guessing in 2 is worth 2 points; guessing in 3 is worth 1 point; guessing in 4 is worth 0 points; guessing in 5 is -1 points; guessing in 6 is -2 points and missing the Wordle is -3 points. If you beat your opponent, you get 1 point. If you tie, you get 0 points. And if you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add it up to get your score.
