
Eating Dairy Before Bed Can Give You Nightmares, Study Suggests

While the idea of dairy-inducing bad dreams is not entirely new, this study sheds light on the previously unexplored connection between food sensitivities and disturbed dreaming. Powell, a psychologist and professor emeritus at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta, notes that “the body’s response to GI distress could be seen as an alarm bell signaling potential medical emergency.”
The research may also offer new insights into the mysterious world of nightmares. A recent study has shown that frequent nightmares are linked to faster aging and premature death.
