Nothing has just launched its latest and most expensive smartphone yet, the Phone (3), priced at $799 for the base model. The new device marks a significant departure from its previous offerings in terms of price and features.
The Phone (3) boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, built on a 4-nanometer architecture. The company has also upgraded the camera system, featuring a trio of cameras with different roles.
The main camera boasts a 50-megapixel resolution, while the periscope telephoto lens offers 3x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom through AI Super Res Zoom. The ultra-wide lens provides a 114-degree field of view. Additionally, the selfie camera has been upgraded from 32 megapixels to an impressive 50 megapixels.
The Phone (3) also packs a substantial 5150 mAh battery (5,500 mAh in its India variant), with support for both wired and wireless charging options. It will ship with Nothing OS 3.5, which is based on Android 15, and promises to receive five years of software updates and seven years of security updates.
Pre-orders for the device begin on July 4, while it becomes widely available on July 15. This marks a significant departure from the company’s previous budget offerings, as it will be sold through its own website and Amazon in the U.S., making it directly compete with Samsung Galaxy S25 which was released earlier this year at $799.
The new Glphy Matrix interface has taken the place of Glyphs on the back of the device.
