Moment Writer Shouts Abuse and Hurls Bricks at Badger Before Torching Wildlife-Loving Neighbour’s Land Rover
A shocking video has emerged showing a writer, Susan Lupton, 63, shouting abuse at her neighbour Graham Lee and hurling bricks at a badger before torching his beloved Land Rover. The incident occurred in Freshwater Bay on the Isle of Wight, where Lupton had been harassing Mr. Lee online, branding him an “evil badger man” on Facebook.
According to reports, Lupton mistakenly believed that some badgers Mr. Lee was caring for had killed a local cat. However, in reality, the moggy had passed away due to natural causes.
The drama unfolded when Lupton began yelling insults at Mr. Lee and then started throwing bricks at the badger on his driveway. This outburst of violence culminated in her setting fire to a plastic container filled with white spirit and placing it under the Land Rover, causing £18,500 worth of damage.
In addition to destroying Mr. Lee’s vehicle, Lupton also damaged neighboring property by setting fire to a nearby house, resulting in £7,835 compensation payment for the affected resident.
The court heard that Lupton had been experiencing an episode of mania due to her bipolar disorder when she committed the acts. She was subsequently banned from the village and handed a suspended two-year prison sentence.
The victim, Mr. Lee, expressed his devastation over the incident in a statement, saying that the attack had left him feeling “beyond words.” He also mentioned that the badgers, which he had been caring for, have not returned to his property since the incident.
This shocking incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of responsible online behavior and the devastating consequences of uncontrolled emotions.
