Ondo Finance and Pantera Capital have recently announced the launch of a $250 million fund focused on real-world asset tokenization projects. The initiative is called “Ondo Catalyst” and will invest in protocols and infrastructure that support the growth of blockchain-based traditional assets.
According to Nathan Allman, founder and CEO of Ondo Finance, the financial system is undergoing a fundamental upgrade through tokenization technology. This breakthrough promises more efficient operations, faster settlements, and broader investor access compared to traditional finance methods.
The tokenized real-world asset market has witnessed an astonishing 380% growth since 2022, reaching $24 billion by June 2025. Meanwhile, private credit and U.S. government debt are the main drivers of this growth. These sectors have attracted investments from both traditional financial institutions and crypto-native firms.
Major exchanges such as Robinhood, Kraken, and Coinbase are actively expanding their tokenized stock and ETF offerings to capitalize on this market shift. As regulatory clarity improves under new SEC leadership, Ondo Finance is one of the largest U.S. Treasury issuers with a nearly $1.4 billion market capitalization.
