Scotty McCreery Reveals That His Two Grandmothers Died Hours Apart: ‘Both Truly Taught Me What Love Is All About’
Country singer and songwriter Scotty McCreery has revealed that both of his grandmothers, Janet and Paquita, died just hours apart. In a heart-wrenching statement on Instagram, McCreery expressed his grief over the loss of his beloved grandmothers.
“My heart is absolutely broken,” he wrote. “Yesterday, both my Grandma Janet and my Grandma Paquita passed away.” He acknowledged that he was still in shock as he typed out the message, but chose to focus on the positive memories they shared together.
McCreery reflected on fond times spent with his grandmother Janet visiting the Outer Banks, as well as trips to Puerto Rico with his other grandmother Paquita. He even reminisced about making unforgettable memories at a backyard pool in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and another farm visit in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Both of McCreery’s grandmothers played significant roles in shaping his music career, with Grandma Janet having been an inspiration to him throughout the years.
