Google’s Aggressive Pixel 10 Pro Pricing Decision
Ahead of its late August launch, more details about the upcoming Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro handsets have emerged. According to Roland Quandt at WinFuture, European pricing for all storage options will be identical across the entire Pixel 10 family.
As a result, the base Pixel 10 will start at €899 with 128 GB of storage, while the Pixel 10 Pro will begin at €1,099 for the same capacity. The higher-end models, which include the Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, will cost €1,299 and €1,899 respectively for 256 GB of storage.
It’s worth noting that there is no listing for a 128 GB variant of the Pixel 10 Pro XL in Europe; however, it remains unclear whether this is due to limited availability or Google’s decision to discontinue this option. As we get closer to the launch date, this information should become clearer.
In light of increasing smartphone prices across various portfolios, Google’s retention of the same pricing strategy for the Pixel series can be seen as an aggressive move to push the premium experience offered by the higher-end models.
Interestingly, while many may be drawn to the high-end features and design of the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, the base Pixel 10 might be the most significant handset in this family.
