King Crimson’s Manager Warns of ‘Premature’ Excitement Following New Album Rumors
As rumors swirl regarding a potential new album from prog-rock icons King Crimson, the band’s manager has cautioned fans not to get too excited about the prospect.
According to reports, guitarist Jakko Jakszyk recently spoke with Goldmine Magazine about his recent solo work and his return to the band in 2013. During the conversation, he mentioned that the group is currently working on a new studio album.
While this news has sent shockwaves throughout the music community, King Crimson’s manager David Singleton took to social media to temper expectations, stating that the rumors surrounding the project are still uncertain.
“Whether it is an album, whether it sees the light of day, whether it is something else is unknown,” Singleton emphasized. “One possible answer would be an album the very sound of which no one has ever heard before. A sound driven by the three drummers. And it is true that those drummers have now recorded studio versions of their parts – separately, so that there is perfect separation.”
In his post, Singleton also hinted at the band’s potential new music being tied to the three drummers in question, suggesting that this uncharted territory could be an exciting direction for the band.
As a result, Singleton has urged fans not to get ahead of themselves and to wait for further updates before making any assumptions about the project.
