Uniswap Launches Global Fiat Off-Ramp Service with Multiple Partners
Uniswap Labs has officially launched a global fiat off-ramp service, allowing users to transfer cryptocurrency directly to their bank accounts. This new feature is integrated with Robinhood, MoonPay, and Transak, making it accessible in over 180 countries.
The service can be accessed through the Uniswap wallet on both iOS and Android devices. Users will be able to convert ERC-20 tokens like USDC and ETH before initiating bank transfers.
The process aims to complete within seconds, contrasting with traditional crypto-to-bank transfers that often face delays. The company is planning to expand this service to its browser extension, making it accessible to desktop users as well.
This launch comes after the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) dropped its case against Uniswap. This development has cleared a regulatory hurdle for the platform.
Each partner brings unique capabilities to the service. Robinhood provides established financial infrastructure, while MoonPay offers specialized crypto payment solutions. Transak contributes its cross-border payment expertise. This collaboration ensures broad coverage across different regions.
In recent updates, Uniswap has introduced Uniswap v4 and launched Unichain, a Layer 2 network aiming to reduce gas fees and improve transaction speeds.
