Metaplanet Buys $13.4 Million in Bitcoin, Boosts Holdings to 2,391 BTC
In a recent announcement, Metaplanet has revealed that it has acquired an additional 156 Bitcoin worth a staggering $13.4 million. This acquisition brings the company’s total Bitcoin holdings to a substantial 2,391 BTC.
According to the information shared by the company, this purchase included 156 Bitcoin at an average price of approximately 12,952,147 yen per Bitcoin, totaling around 2.021 billion yen. As a result, Metaplanet’s total investment in Bitcoin now stands at an impressive 29.828 billion yen.
The move underscores Metaplanet’s continued commitment to expanding its Bitcoin reserves, and the company has also shared some notable performance metrics from recent periods. In Q4 2024, the Company achieved a BTC Yield of a remarkable 309.8%. Similarly, from January 1, 2025 to March 3, 2025, Metaplanet recorded a BTC Yield of 31.8%.
It is worth noting that this significant purchase has taken place as part of the company’s ongoing Bitcoin Treasury Operations.
