Comedian and podcast host Hannah Berner has apologized to rapper Megan Thee Stallion after an interview she conducted with the artist sparked backlash. In a statement, Berner acknowledged that her words were careless and hurtful, explaining that she had not intended to cause harm.
“Yesterday, I interviewed Megan Thee Stallion on my podcast, and today I’m apologizing for something I said during our conversation,” Berner began in her apology message on Instagram. “It was a careless choice of words, and for that, I am truly sorry.”
The comedian further explained that she had only intended to make a lighthearted joke but failed to consider the impact of her words.
