SZA has finally responded to the barrage of insults hurled her way by Nicki Minaj, and she did so in a manner that is sure to stoke the flames of their growing feud.
In a series of tweets posted on Wednesday (July 16), SZA slammed Minaj for her recent attacks, stating that the Queen of Rap has asked her team for collaborations twice without success. The R&B sensation took aim at Minaj’s claims that she would “disappear” and have no impact on the music industry if she were to vanish.
“I don’t care about none of that weird s-t you popping,” SZA wrote, referencing Minaj’s perceived disrespect towards her. “You absolutely know my music and what I contribute cause you’ve asked for features twice to no response.”
The post in question appears to have been prompted by Minaj, who had accused the singer-songwriter of being a “fake girl’s girl” and compared her to a clown.
Minaj has continued her attacks on SZA throughout the day, sharing a video of fans allegedly leaving the Grand National Tour when SZA came out on stage. The rapper also shared a screenshot of an alleged text message between a member of her team and Minaj, which appears to suggest that the latter wanted to collaborate with the former.
SZA has not commented on the feud publicly until now, but it seems she won’t be taking any more of the insults lying down.
