Title: Major Ripple Partner to Offer Crypto Services in Spain

BBVA, a major partner of Ripple, has been quite active in the cryptocurrency space lately. In 2021, it introduced a Bitcoin trading service for Swiss banking clients. Just last year, its Switzerland-based subsidiary moved its custody services to Harmonize, a platform developed by Metaco (which was acquired by Ripple for $250 million earlier that year).

It’s worth noting that BBVA and Ripple have had a long-standing relationship. In fact, the Spanish bank was one of the first institutions to join Ripple’s network back in 2017.
