Tata Technologies’ Data Leaked by Ransomware Gang
A ransomware group called Hunters International has released a significant amount of sensitive data it claims to have stolen from Tata Technologies, just over a month after the Indian company confirmed a ransomware attack that led to the suspension of some services. The leaked data includes personal details about current and former employees at Tata Technologies, as well as confidential information, including purchase orders and contracts with customers in India and the United States.
According to Hunters International, the leaked dataset includes over 730,000 documents, comprising Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and PDF files that total around 1.4 terabytes in size. It is unclear at this time whether the data uploaded by the ransomware gang is related to the ransomware attack that Tata Technologies disclosed earlier this year.
Tata Technologies has not yet provided comment on the situation despite repeated attempts from TechCrunch.
