Google’s Gemini Deep Research is now available to everyone
Google has announced that its powerful Gemini Deep Research tool is now accessible to all users, regardless of their subscription status. This significant move puts Google ahead of the competition, including OpenAI, which still offers a limited version of this feature.
Deep Research allows users to ask Gemini to generate comprehensive and easy-to-read reports on complex topics. Unlike other chatbots like ChatGPT, Google has been a pioneer in offering this tool, and its widespread availability is a major milestone for the company.
The new feature is powered by Gemini 2.0 Flash, which enhances its capabilities across all research stages – from planning and searching to reasoning, analyzing, and reporting. This means that users can now expect higher-quality, multi-page reports that are more detailed and insightful.
What’s more exciting is the fact that this tool will be available in over 45 languages, eliminating language barriers and making it accessible to a global audience.
The company has also announced an experimental feature called Gemini with personalization. This new feature utilizes the same Flash Thinking model that enables Deep Research to provide personalized insights by drawing from a broader understanding of users’ activities and preferences. To enable this feature, users can select “Personalization (experimental)” in the Gemini Apps interface.
It’s worth noting that Google emphasizes that it will only leverage Search history when it determines that information may be useful, providing an easy opt-out option for users who feel uncomfortable with their data being used.
