Sebastian Yatra’s upcoming single “La Pelirroja” is set to be a nostalgic and unforgettable release. The Colombian singer-songwriter has just unveiled a teaser for the song, which features none other than Hollywood legend Tom Hanks.
The 30-second clip shows Yatra sitting in front of a vintage TV, surrounded by old VHS tapes and retro electronics. As he begins to sing, the camera pans out to reveal Hanks appearing in a scene from his iconic 1988 film “Big,” where he famously sang “It’s Showtime!”
The juxtaposition of Yatra’s modern Latin pop with the nostalgic ’80s aesthetic and Hanks’ cameo is sure to resonate with audiences. In an exclusive statement, Yatra shared that the idea for the collaboration was born out of his own childhood memories.
