Here’s When The Next ‘Blood Moon’ Total Lunar Eclipse Is
The world witnessed a stunning “blood moon” total lunar eclipse in May 2022, and we’re already looking forward to the next one. According to NASA, astronomers have confirmed that the next fully visible total lunar eclipse will not occur until March 3-4, 2026.
For North American observers, this event is particularly exciting as the entirety of the eclipse will be visible in Hawaii, Alaska, and western regions of the U.S. and Canada, with totality observable in all regions except for the east coast, where a “blood moon” will occur at moonset early on March 3.
The total lunar eclipse will have a duration of 58 minutes.
