Japan’s Quantum Solutions to Buy 3,000 Bitcoin in Treasury Shift
Quantum Solutions, a Tokyo-listed AI firm, has announced plans to acquire up to 3,000 Bitcoins within the next 12 months. This significant move marks a major shift in treasury strategies by a Japanese corporation, amid rising inflation pressures and currency instability.
The company’s decision to add Bitcoin to its balance sheet is not driven by short-term speculation but rather as a long-term store of value. Quantum Solutions aims to hedge against currency risks and inflation, utilizing the digital asset’s potential to create a stronger, more resilient capital structure.
To execute this strategy, Quantum has allocated an initial $10 million for Bitcoin purchases through Integrated Asset Management (Asia) Limited, a Hong Kong-based investment firm. The funds will be managed by GPT Pals Studio, its fully owned subsidiary in Hong Kong.
