J Balvin and Puerto Rican salsa legend Gilberto “El Caballero de la Salsa” Santa Rosa brought the heat to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, performing a mesmerizing rendition of their collaborative track, “Misterio”.
The Colombian superstar stopped by the show just one week after surprising fans with the release of his new album Mixteip. In conversation with Jimmy Fallon, J Balvin discussed his creative vision for the project, which he described as a nostalgic nod to the early days of reggaetón.
“It’s a mixtape, like the old days,” J Balvin explained. “You go to the streets and sell it,” he added, referencing his own experiences in the United States when he first sought to popularize reggaetón globally. The performance showcased J Balvin’s signature progressive sound merged with Santa Rosa’s timeless salsa mastery.
