Cardano Innovation Starstream to Get Big Facelift, Here’s What’s Coming
The Cardano (ADA) blockchain is set to undergo a significant transformation as it prepares for an overhaul of its Starstream innovation, which aims to revolutionize the way users interact with the decentralized application ecosystem. In a recent update, Sebastien Guillemot, a prominent developer in the Cardano space, has revealed that the project will enable users to generate zero-knowledge (zk) proofs directly within web browsers and facilitate scalable interactions with blockchains.
As part of this development, the team is working on optimizing zk-proof sizes to achieve a lightweight and practical solution for blockchain applications. Guillemot mentioned that the goal is to reduce proof size to approximately 16 kilobytes. This move towards efficiency could potentially put pressure on Ethereum’s dominance in zk innovations.
The innovation is expected to have far-reaching implications, particularly for developers who utilize zk rollups and browser-based dApps on UTXO blockchains. Once this update goes live, it could drastically improve the Cardano ecosystem by allowing for increased scalability, reduced storage needs, and potentially lower transaction fees.
This development comes as the ADA price has seen a 2.48% increase over the past 24 hours, reaching $0.8276 at the time of writing.
