Lady Gaga’s ‘Wednesday’ Role Will Also Include a Spooky New Song for Season 2
Pop star Lady Gaga is expanding her role in the Netflix series “Wednesday” to include a brand-new song, set to be released next month alongside her guest appearance on the show.
Gaga will portray Rosaline Rotwood, a mysterious and enigmatic Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega), as previously announced. The pop sensation’s character is not just limited to acting; she will also be contributing an original song titled “Dead Dance”.
The song, expected to be released next month, marks Gaga’s second collaboration on the series after a dance performance in May, inspired by the viral dance scene from the first season of the show. In that performance, fans used TikTok and other platforms to upload their own dance versions using her song “Bloody Mary” sped-up.
It was reported last month that Lady Gaga was spotted with “Wednesday” director Tim Burton on the Island of the Dolls, south of Mexico City, but there’s no word whether this is related to the new song or music video.
The first season two episodes are set to premiere naturally on Wednesday (September 28) on Netflix.
