Title: Selena Gomez Recalls How She & Taylor Swift First ‘Bonded’ Over Their Jonas Brother Breakups
Selena Gomez has taken a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about the moment she and Taylor Swift first connected over their shared experience of dating the Jonas Brothers. The 14-time Grammy winner, who revealed her relationship with Nick Jonas ended in 2008, expressed gratitude for the strong bond that developed between them due to those tumultuous times.
In an exclusive interview on Jake Shane’s podcast Therapuss, Gomez reflected on how she initially bonded with Swift over their respective breakups from the JoBros. “Taylor and I like to say the best thing we got out of those relationships was each other,” Gomez said in a candid conversation, highlighting the significance of their friendship.
The Wizards of Waverly Place star also opened up about Swift’s impressive songwriting prowess by recalling that the pop superstar played the first song she ever heard from her – “Love Story” – during their initial encounter. The Rare Beauty founder remembered the intimate moment vividly: “I was in a hotel room, and I remember it vividly… She is incredible.”
It appears that Gomez’s affection for Swift has been unwavering over the years. In March, she praised the Bad Blood singer’s efforts to reclaim her masters. Just weeks prior, Swift sent Gomez a sweet home-baked sourdough loaf as a congratulatory gift after her new album with fiancé Benny Blanco, titled I Said I Love You First.
Gomez has been vocal about finding solace in her friendship and mutual support with the Eras Tour headliner.
