Apple iPhone 17 Pro Is 1 Month Away: Everything We Know So Far
As we approach the September 9 release date for the latest Apple iPhone series, rumors and leaks have been flooding the internet with information about the upcoming devices. As a result, we now know more than ever before about the new iPhones.
The most significant change is expected to come from the rear of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, as the squarish camera panel will be replaced by one that stretches the full width of the phone. This redesign could also bring improvements to the cameras themselves, although these upgrades may have been achievable with the previous design.
Not only is there a significant change in the rear design, but it’s also possible that we’ll see a repositioning of the Apple logo on the phone’s back.
In other news, reports suggest that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be thicker than ever before, which could potentially translate to increased battery size and, by extension, longer battery life.
Additionally, it appears that there will be either four or five colors available for the Pro and Pro Max models. While I believe four is more likely, given the previous year’s offerings, these new colors are rumored to include black, white, dark blue, and an unexpected bright orange hue. However, considering past releases, a more muted color like copper might replace the vibrant orange option.
Furthermore, the rumor mill suggests that all three rear cameras will be 48-megapixel resolution for the first time, bringing a boost in photography capabilities to these devices.
As far as processing power goes, the A19 Pro chip is expected to take center stage. Given the current models’ use of the A18 Pro, this development isn’t particularly surprising, but it’s certainly an upgrade.
There’s also speculation that the increased efficiency from the new processor will not only lead to longer battery life but could be used for new features requiring more power consumption.
One last piece of information is the price increase. It seems likely that prices will rise by $50 on each model, with the 17 Pro potentially starting at a staggering $1,049. Although it’s unclear if tariffs or exemptions will impact this change.
Finally, it appears that the release date for these new iPhones is set to be September 19th.
