Strategy Acquires 155 New BTC Holdings to Reach 628,946-Strong Treasury
In a recent announcement, Strategy has made significant additions to its Bitcoin treasury by purchasing an additional 155 BTC at an average price of $116,401 per coin. The latest investment brings the company’s overall holdings to 628,946 coins.
The transaction, which was filed with the SEC, highlights Strategy’s commitment to diversifying its portfolio by increasing its Bitcoin reserves. This new acquisition is a testament to the company’s confidence in the long-term potential of the cryptocurrency market.
Notably, this purchase marks the fifth anniversary of Strategy’s initial investment in Bitcoin back in August 2020. Since then, the firm has consistently demonstrated unwavering support for the asset, despite market fluctuations and volatility.
In five years, Strategy has made a total of 74 distinct purchases of Bitcoin, with the company’s strategy revolving around maintaining transparency by publicly disclosing each transaction to regulatory bodies like the SEC.
It is worth noting that this purchase was not without controversy. A social media commentator, Nic Puckrin, Coin Bureau founder, chimed in on Michael Saylor’s post, stating, “Only 155 BTC? Looks like you need to raise more fiat.” However, Strategy has thus far demonstrated an unrelenting dedication to its Bitcoin-centric approach.
Strategy’s most recent purchase is a reflection of the company’s steadfast commitment to its cryptocurrency investment strategy.
