Cindy Lee has announced a short but significant run of North American tour dates. The Canadian musician had initially scheduled an extensive tour in support of their groundbreaking album “Diamond Jubilee” back in 2024, only to cancel the latter half of the planned run due to unspecified personal reasons within the touring party.
After more than a year of silence, new dates have been added to Cindy Lee’s schedule with shows in Chicago, Toronto, Montreal and New York City planned for early November. Supporting acts Freak Heat Waves will open all dates except for Toronto, where Blue Light will take the stage first.
Cindy Lee’s enigmatic project gained widespread acclaim following the release of their 2020 debut “What’s Tonight to Eternity?” before ultimately reaching new heights with the mysterious “Diamond Jubilee” album in 2024. The latter, despite being released sans promotion on streaming services and solely via a Geocities website for digital distribution, garnered overwhelmingly positive reviews and landed a spot on the shortlist for the Polaris Music Prize.
The sudden resurgence of Cindy Lee’s live presence comes as an unexpected yet welcome surprise to fans eagerly awaiting their next move.
