Instagram will Let You Recap 2024 with a Collage for Your Story
As the year draws to a close, social media platform Instagram has announced that it is introducing a new feature that allows users to create a collage of their favorite moments from 2024. This new capability is only available until January and enables users to combine multiple photos into a single post.
The newly launched feature lets you add a bunch of pictures from throughout the year, which can then be shared with friends. To achieve this effect currently, you could only add a photo to your story, resize it, move it around the screen, and then add more images as stickers. Instagram’s layout feature also enables adding multiple photos to a story, but they appear in a grid format rather than a collage.
It’s not all about nostalgia; Instagram is also rolling out some other temporary features to get users into the holiday spirit. There are end-of-year-themed “Add Yours” templates that let your friends reply to your story with one of their own. Additionally, you can now add New Year and Countdown text effects, as well as holiday-themed chat themes for DMs.
